Founded in 1996 and has its operations in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Romania.
About the Founder
Dr. Prakasam founded Share in Asia in 1996. He came to the United States from India in 1984 to continue his education, having already received his Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition from PSG College of Arts and Science. In 1988, Dr. Prakasam received his second Bachelor’s degree in Teaching and Counseling from Southeastern University in Florida. He continued his theological training with a Masters of Divinity from the Asia School of Theology, completed in 1994. In 2017, he received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from the Austrian School of Ministry. He currently resides in Kirkland, Washington, with his wife and two children.
Savita Prakasam is the wife of Andrew and also co-founder of Share in Asia. She works for the Boeing Company since 1997.
David is a software engineering manager at Microsoft.
